PANHELLENIC EVENT ON THALASSEMIA AND SICKLE CELL DISEASE

The Annual Event on Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Disease was organized by the Greek Thalassaemia Association on 23-25 May 2025 in the city of Kavala, Greece. For three days, 35 leading doctors, including endocrinologists, haematologists, hepatologists, cardiologists, radiologists and nurses, presented all the latest therapeutic practices in the prevention and treatment of complications of the disease, answered questions from patients and other participating colleagues in an interactive dialogue that kept the audience engaged. It is estimated that approximately 380 people from all over Greece participated in the event.

About Greek Thalassaemia Association (ESTHA)

The Greek Thalassemia Association was founded in 1975 with the aim of providing support and assistance to people suffering from thalassemia, sickle cell disease, and other hemoglobinopathies, to defend their rights, and to strive for the continuous improvement of the conditions of care and quality of life for these patients.
