The Department of Spatial Planning and Development Engineering celebrates the completion of twenty years of its operation, since its foundation in 2004, and organizes an Anniversary Scientific Conference entitled: 1st Scientific Conference on Spatial Planning and Development: Challenges and Perspectives

The 1st Anniversary Scientific Conference will provide an opportunity to develop reflection and dialogue on the challenges and perspectives of spatial planning and development through:

• Presentations by invited speakers and panel discussions.
• Presentations of scientific papers in the sessions to be organized.

The Conference invites members of the scientific community, researchers, scholars, administrators and local government officials to present scientific papers on a wide range of thematic areas related to spatial planning and spatial development as well as related planning, technological and social science fields.

The aim is to identify, through the dialogue on the evolution of scientific approaches, policies and practices for spatial planning and spatial development, the problems and challenges in today’s conditions of multiple crises and rapid change, as well as to highlight the possibilities and perspectives for the organisation and management of space towards sustainable and resilient development.
