12^th HSTAM 2019 International Congress on Mechanics

The Hellenic Society for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (HSTAM) in cooperation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki announces the 12^th HSTAM International Congress on Mechanics to be held in Thessaloniki from 22-25 September 2019.

HSTAM was founded in Athens in 1978 and is a member of IUTAM– the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (http://iutam.org/ ). The first Congress was held in 1992 and since then a Congress is organized by HSTAM every three years in a different city in collaboration with local Educational and/or Research Institutions.

The conference is dedicated to the memory of late Professor Ioannis Vardoulakis on the occasion of 10 years from his death in recognition of his contributions and achievements in Mechanics. A special session in honor of Professor Vardoulakis is organized by Professors Panos Papanastasiou (University of Cyprus) and Ioannis Stefanou (Ecole des Ponts, Paris Tech, France).
