How can ancient Greek and Chinese philosophy contribute to our perspective about the word today, the global ethics, sustainability and common good?
How is classical philosophy linked to the emerging power of technology, climate change, increasing inequalities, global peace?
How is classical philosophy linked to the emerging power of technology, climate change, increasing inequalities, global peace?
These are the principal questions addressed at the “Aristotle-Confucius Symposium on Ethics for the 21st Century” international and multi-destination conference held in Athens, Thessaloniki, Ancient Stagira and Ancient Mieza. Leading scholars from all over the world attemped to follow the steps of Aristotle, by visiting the place he was born, the place he taught, and came together to discuss modern global challenges while drawing on the ancient wisdom of both Aristotle and Confucius whose influence has left and continues to leave its imprint all over the world.
SYMVOLI was proud to be on the organizing team of this pioneering conference that brought together, for the first time, two cultures of great historical and philosophical importance while some of the most crucial matters that society is facing were dicussed.
